Well they shouldn't be swapped, because they both mean the same thing.
They should be single target and AoE versions of your opposite sect.

Intersection is where something overlaps/crosses, so would match up with your active sect. Opposition is just that, the opposite, so would match up with your unselected sect. It seems like the dev team chose to discard the stun and such that made Opposition a nope button in favor of just an aspected instant, so I want it to at least be consistent in terminology.
I'm not sure of their intentions on the cooldown times, it's nice to have the one that applies the opposite effect on the faster cooldown but it seems like the one that matches would be in better alignment and thus flow better / recharge quicker.
CO should have a shorter cooldown, mp returns 5 or 10% depends on its cooldown, and some enhancements on its potency as well if its cooldown stays that long.
My suggestion
Cooldown stays the same on 120secs, than double potency and give 10% mp return.
Cooldown on 60secs, give 5% mp returns, can stand the weak potency since it has a shorter cd.
It would be good to have the stun back as well.
Fix ASTROLOGIAN PLEASE, SQUARE ENIX. I want to love healing again but for now I'm comfortable being a dps. Just bring back the old card system and return the potency of things that got nerfed. Hell, you made WHM very overpowered now.

The new jobs are fun indeed, but it feels sucks to have my old main job gutted and "unplayable". Those perfunctory and casual changes to this job are just too hard to take and literally put me away from keeping playing.
I'm shocked at how much SCH and AST are now dumbed down and just a dull mess to play.
Something really needs to change, its probably one of the most tragic changes ive ever seen happen to jobs in this game or any mmo.
If it werent for shadowbringers MSQ and the introduction of GNB and DNC being so great and keeping me interested for the time being,
I would have unsubbed over these awful AST+SCH changes.
Um, hmm. Okay, I kinda see where you're coming from, but with that angle of thought I'd expect it to apply BOTH effects. And that makes it seem like a better name than Neutral Sect, especially considering that it's a short-duration vs how sects toggle. Still think these 2 could use cleanup.
I have never mashed Benefic 2 so hard in my life when I go dungeons and do big pulls. So SE can AST's Gravity apply Slow on the monsters like Arm's Length? That would be cool.
