Is Diadem really dead?

Hello All,

We have this new event about to pop.

Since it will take time to grind up these new tokens, I I'm sure we will only have a limited time to gather them. It seems that most of this stuff we will be able to 'under level' at 80 and do some simple grinding. Magic bait bucket aside.

I log in with my tank and one of my DPS's and tried to Que for Diadem to see how long it would take to pop.. on Siren they neve did. I waited 40 mins for both and figured that was a good enough test.

I read somewhere that you're FC can get there with an air ship. But when I Qued for it said that we need 1 Tank / 2 Healers / 5 DPS... Our FC is not that big we only have 5 active players. Can I use an FC air ship with just 5 players to get to Diadem? If yes then maybe I don't have to waste my event tokens on the only thing that is locked.

imho, the items that you get in Diadem(Pegasus munt/minion) Are like the only items on that list that isn't easy to get now or even the future. Things like the Riding Maps and many of the other stuff are easily obtainable now and some can bemuch easier as time goes by if it's actually worth getting(user preference) Some would say some of the music scrolls would be hard to get but can be acquired cheaper on a seperate server or overtime as content ages.

If your FC has an airship AND has "found" the Diadem on the airship-map you only need two people to take said airship there (with a maximum amount of 8 per party, obviously).

With two people doing FATEs and the like wont be easy though, but you can just fly around and look for the hidden chests that are all over the place and make your way to the pegasus that way.

To answer the question wether or not the pegasus is the only thing worth grinding for: Well, depends - the namazu earrings are exclusive (at least for the time being, dont know how thats gonna look in 5 years) and if you dont have some of the minions from the old 24-man, specially Calofesteri (which isnt a 100% drop as off now) they might be worth it, specially considering that they're faily cheap.
The beasttribe-mounts are absolutly not worth it, because you want to do the dailies for exp and the quests/storys and other perks anyways.
And the primal mounts are easier farmed by doing the actual fights.

Diadem is still active but mainly through a Discord called Diadem Debauchery. They're very active on Aether so it would make a lot of sense to try it!

Getting the mount just requires the drops gotten from fates which with a group of focused people is fairly quick.

I'm most likely going to do it through this event simply because I need poetics for my Anima weapons anyway. So might as well kill two birds with one stone.

That being said in your case if you want to do Diadem it's active, just join the discord and you'll be totally fine.

Diadem is dead yes
Some servers did events where peoples did diadem just to help get the peguses but i haven't heard about those being done for awhile

Peguses mount and minion are not much of a grind with a group willing to stick together for diadem
But your best bet might be this moogle event at this rate

The minimum amount of people required for FC access is 2.

Two are enough. And you only need two to get to Diadem - one can always leave straight away.

I'm not sure if a second party of 8 could use the airship you guys used straight away, we never tried that... in any case the maximum amount of people going in at the very same time is 8.

You can also take people who are not in your FC with you - only the person in the FC can operate the airship though, but as long as you have a FC-member being partyleader you can take up to 7 randoms with you.
