Good thing 90% of this game can be played without talking. Word policing has reached ridiculous levels I never even thought possible, having the internet be accessible by so many was a mistake.

Always keep in mind that talking in game chat is against ToS and you'll never have to deal with people who are report happy over lingo that's been used for over a decade.

He definitely got put on blast and oof i just feel embarrassed.

Its one thing to quietly leave an FC but leaving, switching data centers then taking pod shots at them on the forums is another thing completely.

Policing language isn’t needed, that’s what the blacklist button is for. If you have a problem with it then call them out or block.

Another person misconstruing something to twist it around to fit their agenda.

Its no secret that people today are much more sensitive than they used to be.

And really? Comparing what he said to segregation? That's just grasping at straws.

People shouldn't need to censor themselves because other people can't handle it. Especially when the person isn't even insulting that person. They are just indirectly getting offended for no reason.

EDIT : Just to be clear there are obvious exceptions, but i guess i feel i should list them since someone my try to misconstrue my words.

If someone is openly being racist, or homophobic or whatever. Even if indirectly, then that is different. But if its something harmless like "That fight was cancer" "This post gave me aids" its just a dark humored joke. And sure not everyone shares the same humor. But that's no reason to get bent out of shape and whine about it. There are many tools to stop you from seeing things you don't like.
