This has become a hot thread!
What I find unsurprisingly-ironic about this entire thread is that some of the posters here have inadvertently exposed ( yet again ) the double standards that the PC age projects and that goes double for this original post.
Some people wait to cherry-pick on something to piggyback on and finally display their skewed, biased, overly-opinionated pasts of suffering just to elevate themselves to a higher form of false virtue / moral self-righteousness.
You suffer, I suffer, we all suffer. You lose all forms of righteousness when you do "comparative" suffering, to mask insecurities and the lack of maturity to "accept" that these "derogatory terms" are here to stay. To "use the legitimacy" of a platform to "voice your displeasure" and come off as articulately-polite only to inject your subjective preference of the usage of "morons" screams volumes of your hypocrisy, regardless of how you wish to call it.

Autism and cancer are serious illnesses. Who ever use them as a fashionable way to express their displease should be ask for help. No excuse to stigmatize an illness or the people who suffering from this. You should be ashamed of yourself.
I curse myself a lot but this is just disrespectful and disgusting. This is my opinion.
I don't get getting so easily offended over words online. I've seen far worse than "cancer" or "autism" used and it didn't bother me in the slightest. So, I really just have a hard time relating, sorry. > w <;
It has nothing to do with "getting offended". Cancer is a serious illness which can kill people in a cruel way. And some people use an Illness as a term for "bad or dumb" people or bad/dumb behavior ? Please do not answer this question. I am afraid of the answer.
When I saw that we were going from Broil III at 290 potency in ShB to Broil IV at 295 potency in EW, I was shaking with how excited I was. I couldn't believe they were so generous with a whole 5 potency. I'm going to probably scream in excitement when 7.0 comes out and Broil V hits 300 potency, playing SCH going to be WILD once it hits 300!!!
I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with getting offended. If no one was offended, no one would care enough to even bring it up in the first place. Also, isn't the term "cancer" used in such contexts to imply something is a spreading force of self destruction? Cancer is something negative, so it's not really that surprising to see it attributed to other implied negative things that are (supposedly) self destructive to what it is a part of.
Ok, I'll try to explain this, and I'll use small words to make it easier to understand. Saying "x is cancer" isn't the same as saying "someone with cancer sucks/is bad", it's saying "x sucks like cancer sucks".
