9002 error every hour at the same time each hour following.

Hello, starting around Early May I have noticed that I start to disconnect from game each hour that passes. This takes place from around 1-2am (mst) until beyond 7am (mst) when I wake up around 1-2pm (mst) I am fine. Not a single disconnect until the following morning around 1-2am (mst).

I checked with my ISP, have personally checked other mmo's and games and even streaming anime just fine no issues.

I use to be on the Japanese data centers and had zero issues, I later moved to Brynhildr and still zero issues, never disconnect. Then I moved here to Diabolos server to join a friend in playing the game and it's been this way each night since. It went away for a week, and suddenly appeared again following this time.

When the d/c takes place I can either wait a few seconds and log back in from the main screen and then wait a min or two at the character log in screen. (It says I'm still logged in and such) (If I log in instantly from d/c to character screen it just gives me a 2002 error code). Or I can exit the client after d/c and log directly back in to character screen and game instantly from there.

Are you honestly surprised? Didn't you watch the live stream in which they were unable to get the game to correctly work themselves even though they had this planned for a long period of time? All of Square Enix is codeine and software is outdated this should not surprise you.

    Hello and thank you!

-Platform (PC) I have the game for PS4 too (will try logging into it and see if it does the same thing).
-Error codes: 9002 2002 nothing else.
    -Connection: Wired
-Other programs running: Sometimes Firefox or Chrome.
-Steps taken to resolve issue: I have followed advice given to other people who experienced this issue in the past on this forum. Mainly with internet explorer. I have reset router and called ISP as well. I did not have this issue in the past its new as I moved to this current world. Game never crashes, just the "scheduled" d/c . Most noted theirs have been random mine is on the exact minute each hour that passed from times listed above. I also attempted playing other games, streaming stuff, and checking connection with ISP. note: I noticed that during patch update the issue was taking place at that time for me and even the patch update (stopped) while updating on the client. I had to exit and restart.. thankfully of course it kept all progress before that.

I use windows 7, computer did an auto update on its own start of month (somewhere around that time frame). I think the update was for security purposes too. no update other than this to drivers or anything else. I dont use steam I log in directly from client.

Thank you for the update NumenarMithrandir.

If it happens consistently every hour, there must be something that aligns with that, causing the disconnect (generally, disconnects tend to be much more random). My first thought would be the anti-virus on your PC. Double-check that it has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV.

Additionally, try a clean boot. For Windows 7, click Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box, and then press Enter to start the System Configuration utility. On the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to clear the Load startup items check box. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
