Am so sorry to hear that DC lacks of plots for players, in Chaos DC Louisouix and Omega are full of small plots for sale for the players that will join and rejoin this expansion, both with around 400 s and 120 s respectively.

Louisouix server has s plots available for 1.4 mil at the moment.

There should be instanced housing.

One of the problems with the current housing system is that it is highly abused by people using bots to spam click signs. I've seen people still trying to interact with the placard and buy the house hours after the house has been bought.

The lack of proper gardening makes it a bad equivalent sadly. Honestly if they would just give us upgradeable apartments this issue would be solved instantly. Let us start with a small room then sink money into making it bigger. Maybe not MANSION big, but something about the size of a medium with access to a gardening balcony would solve a lot of concerns in a day.

The price on plots are hardly the overall reason for there not being enough of them, when 1 person alone can take up 10+ of those plots.

SE need to limit the number of plots a single player can have or rework the system so people can buy a instanced version of a house.

I honestly hate to be 'that' guy, I really do...but housing is a "privilege", not a right. There will always be people bound to not have one.

It's bad design to lock players out of content simply because they weren't lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

This privilege argument is little other than thinly veiled elitism. Reserve the elitism for moments when you're skilled at the game in content such as savage. There is no skill in buying a house. Most of it is luck.

The only way to take luck out of the equation is to move to a low population server. However the transfer fee, the gil cap, having to leave your fc and the inability to bring fc progress with you all act as deterrents that stop players from going to a new server.

And before anyone says "tough poop you should have created your character on a different server" let me remind you that new players rarely know how bad the housing situation is. No one starts a new game automatically assuming some content is so broken that they must actively seek dead servers to be able to engage in it.

There is enough housing plots... nearly 10 times more than when it came out. Sadly Square Enix has dramatically reduced the prices, twice, and now everyone feels entitled to a house because Square Enix is literally giving them away at this point.

Everyone that has enough gil should be able to buy a house, period. Anything less than that is unacceptable.

I wish there was more, I'm told people create macros, have a keyboard repeat the macro, set themselves to busy so they can't be traded with and just wait until they can buy it. It's very disappointing for me personally as I really wanted to buy a small house and now from what reddit tells me, it's probably never going to happen unless I win the who can click first lottery.
