    It's 7 PST and it was done at 5 PST wtf? What's going on?

    It's done. I've been on for the past two and half hours. Came back up at 5 PM PST sharp, just as promised. In fact, some of my shell mates reported being able to get on early.

    the update is downloading at 0.0 bps for me... then maybe spiking to 50kps then back to 0.0kps.. and i have good net.. maybe overwhelmed?

    Whenever my updater goes 0.0 downloading, I always close out and restart it. Prolly saved me ~2 hours

    Their patcher still sucks for some people. Mine got stuck at 60% after 30 minutes. I opened uTorrent and downloaded it from scratch in 15 minutes.

    I'll leave the details about uTorrent out, since I don't really know what is and is not allowed to say, but here's where SE keeps the torrent file you need.

    YMMV depending on OS, username, and drive letter, but for me, it's located here:
    E:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\metainfo\D2012.03.07.0000.torrent

    Go to \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\metainfo and find the .torrent file for the patch (2012.3.07.0000). Proceed to download with utorrent. Copy/paste the finished file into \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\patch . You should be replacing the original file the official downloader started.

    And as for whether or not I'm allowed to say this, if SE wants to delete my post/tempban me for telling people the only way I've ever been able to finish a patch reliably, more power to them.
