    Patch torent/download allowed or not ??

    Sorry to ask this but is downloading from and external source allowed or not ?? the FFXIV updated is always to slow, thanks for the information i wish a dev/mod could responde on this matter for future patches also.

    Officially no, but nobody's really going to stop you.

    For me, it's not enough slower to make bending over backwards to find a faster way worthwhile though.

    The default updater is fine as long as you have your network settings correct, unless you're on a campus connection.

    It seems like its blocking clients that are not the official downloader from connecting to seeds. So you kind of have to use it.

    I downloaded other patches using utorrent with no problems at all. Seems the updater is improved a bit now getting 400kb/sec on ffxiv updater.
