That's a point, a number of the Arcanist quest relied on Topaz Carbuncle tanking, did they not? Same with some quest instances involving Alphinaud and his Carbuncle... I guess NPC Carbuncles can still play by old rules while ours change?

The arcanist and summoner or Scholar quests are going to be no more. There will be role related quests to be done at around 50 or so I think, but there are going to be no more individual job quests.

Role quests are a lvl70-80 thing. Old job quests aren't going away.

They actually said that is the pre 5.0 ability and it is and that pet hotbars are removing and coming to player actions as group action for the 3 different egis to share. I'd doubt it'll work the same way, as a defensive cooldown with what they said in the live letter.

Well, we know what this means for SCHs. XD No more Fairy pulls and Fairy's accidently waking up the dragon(hopefully).
