I don't have a permanent disability (at least I hope not, only time will tell). I have nerve damage in my back so it limits my mobility due to weakness and pain. I can't use a normal mouse because for whatever reason it aggravates my back a lot. Using one results in shooting pains in my hands. This prompted me to look at ergonomic options.

I got this mouse. It looks weird and trust me I was sceptical too when I first saw it, but it honestly changed my life. I went from being unable to even browse the internet to being able to game again. The best part about this mouse? It's so bloody cheap.

I have that mouse myself and as someone who has carpal tunnel issues in their hands/wrists it is indeed the best mouse ever. I also suffer from MD according to one doctor I've seen and I have memory issues, especially when under stress (ie; anything like raiding can and has been a bit stressful for me cause I can not for the life of me remember mechanics even if I had just read a guide about the fight before the raid) , I also suffer from chronic pain (especially in my hips and knees, but at times also in my back and shoulders). I'm also rather introverted at most times until I manage to break the ice with people, though that can have it's own host of challenges, thus why I often play solo in MMOs, because I have difficulty in putting myself out there to chat unless I'm feeling comfortable with the situation and the people I'm with. I've been making an effort to be more social with mixed results, but at least I can say I am trying. I can't get out and about like most (limitations on transportation due to above issues and the simple fact I am incapable of driving) mean that MMOs and other online hobbies are basically the entirety of my social life.

Those that tell people that have trouble with some classes to 'git gud' irk me because I would love to play some of these classes (and at times even try to play them regardless (just not in the higher-end content) ) but I'm not as good with them because I can't remember all of things that the skills do, or the interactions. Or even if I get that down, there's the fact that I can really only focus on maybe 2 things at once, and if there are multiple mechanics going on in a fight, then I'm apt to end up needing a reminder to deal with them on top of the things I have been keeping track of..

I have this too and it sometimes effects my play. On bad days I try to stay out of dungeons. Some get really rude and harsh about any lag or delay. Once I wasn't sprinting just running, and was told I sucked. Yes only for that, we had just started the dungeon. lol I do not get the full on rage, some must be so miserable offline.

Yeah sadly there's some people who think anyone who isn't a speed runner is "bad" =/
