Before I begin I want to say this is an amazing game and I'll always adjust (hur hur hur) to changes made. I consider myself an old guard tank but definitely understand the need to bring on new blood and make things easier for newer players.
What happened to creating skill kits based on lore? Wasn't this a thing?
I picked up Warrior in this game because of its lore, look, and feel (2handed axe is pretty metal, savage, and brutal). The class has gone through many changes and I'm fine with that but as a fighter that draws upon their Inner Beast and goes into a blood frenzy, I don't see magically shielding allies as something that would be Warrior.
Sticking to the theme of the Warrior, it would seem that purely physical or rage(energies?) would be our means of doing any type of protection for party members...Like literally using our bodies as a shield for others.
I know Shake It Off (after its change from CC break) kinda falls in line with this. I didn't initially agree until I thought about it. "The indomitable will of the Warrior to break their bonds and shout in defiance...which could inspire his/her allies to do the same. Ok not bad."
What truly made Warrior the best in my eyes was Dev Teams ability to keep it close to its origin. A Ferocious, Savage, Brutal fighter drawing upon the primal energies awakened through Pure Rage.
I may get hate for saying this but I'd gladly give up all our flash and glam for kits and animations that feel heavy, powerful, and satisfying. I don't need 5 Fell Cleaves when I can have 1 that feels like all the Blind Fury/Rage built up, or use of Inner Release, is consumed in one monstrous attack. Because that's how Warrior's fight, but again that's my opinion.
Anyways, thank you for the spot to rant SE, Forum Mods, Dev Team, and Community.
P.S. /cheer for the DRK and PLD on getting FFTactics animations/attacks, that's pretty dope.
