Petition for a /read emote

I was just wondering just a bit ago, but I was in my private chambers just hanging out when I started thinking, "There's a bookcase not 2 feet from me, why can't I read any of those damn books!" and it suddenly struck me that there is no /read emote (or if there is, I've never seen it and I'm dumb).

So I would like to semi-formally ask to implement an emote where, if you're sitting or standing within a certain distance of a bookshelf or any other books you should be able to /read in order to pick it up and look at it in order to look smart. And of course, if you're an arcanist/scholar/summoner you could always use this emote (or, in order to be cheap on the devs part, give everyone the scholar idle animation).

Bonus points if your character flips through the pages every now and then.

This has probably been requested before, but I think it needs more attention.

This is for the most part what I've been wanting for a long time ago, I did make a suggestion thread a while back but it didn't get much support!...

I hope we can get that much deserved /read emote, whether sitting or standing we should be able to read any book at hand!...

SE shouldn't be lazy and make ACN/SMN/SCH a general emote since that is their exclusive idle animation and I happen to be a Scholar so don't just copy/paste it!...

Instead Square Enix should be able to create lots of seemingly natural emotes for all kinds of situations, including wanting to /read a book!...

Would love to be able to use the Arcanist Idle Animation, or something similar, while sitting down.

Definitely would love this. I mightn't get the chance to use it much myself but it'd be nice to see. Similarly, I don't play Triple Triad, but I think it'd be a nice thing to be able to do while sitting at a table or on the ground without actually having to play the game itself. It'd be pretty neat just to stumble across things like a circle of friends sitting and appearing to be having a friendly game of cards. I love the small aesthetics like that.

I really like this idea. It could be one we could use while sitting or standing, and they could even make just a small pocket book so people don't have to worry about equipping some big tome.

Adding onto your post - one thing I would love to see in this game is afk animations when you are near furniture such as the reading the books example above. Or if you are near the stove you would cook something etc.
