In fairness it's kind of disingenuous to group the entire community of players into one voice for this. Different subgroups want different things, so of course you're always going to run into "We want x but also thing that is contradictory to x!" Situations when you group both together as though they're a singular group.

I have no idea where the feol meme came from, weren't the feol a race in the FFXII spin off, Revenent Wings that was a mixed breed between aegyl (a race of winged humanoids) and viera, their only real defining characteristic was that they have shorter ears, but are otherwise the same as normal viera.

We also have many short races for females to choose from, midlanders, miqo'te and au ra are all short and dainty, do we really need the viera to join those numbers?

If you don't want to play a tall woman, that's fine, but don't pretend there were ever any short viera, one of their defining characteristics is their tall stature and their ears, I don't know why people were expecting anything less than a tall race of bunny women.

Was a typo i meant 178.8cm which for a female Highlander is at 39 on her height scale, just checked.
