I am a veteran player.When i started playing FFXIV back in 2015(Right before HW) ,I was living in EU so i created and EU account.I have been living in US since 2016. As you know in FF if you want to make a digital purchase from the store,that store's region must be matched with your account's region.So if you have an account and it says you are from US you cannot activate the expansion that you bought it from the EU store.(i.e store.eu.square-enix-games.com/en_EU) Also there is no "Obvious"indication in any of it.This may even be considered as SCAM in some countries.Few of my friends wasted their purchase during Stormblood by making this mistake.Since they saw their keys some of them couldn't get a refund.I was lucky because i somehow get a refund. This also shows how unprofessional the team is because they do not even have an "Objective "Rules.
Now it is Shadowbringers time."Oh boi,here we go again!" .As i said i am living in US right now but my account is EU based so i need to buy the expansion from the EU store.The thing is ,in billing information section you need to choose the country that you got your card from.You cant even choose the US because it is not even there.Only EU countries.I believe i sent six ticket but support team acts like a that guy who lied in his CV and he knows nothing and he keeps passing his job to others.SIX times in a row they said "Hey,we apologize for the inconvenience ,can you please contact FF team?"And the FF team does the same and directs you to Store Team.Since the store release,i was trying to buy it this ....(fill the blank) ,now we just have 1 month before the expansion and i still got nothing.
FFXIV has the worst website in the MMORPG genre.I saw more practical and beautiful looking websites that F2P titles have.Your store is tr*sh,your region lock system is tr*sh,your unwillingness to fix problems is tr*sh.God you even implemented shopping cart feature to MogStation recently.I am sure that you guys were waiting our sincere gratitude for this. OO wait maybe if i create a Youtube channel named HappiestGuyIntheWorld maybe,just maybe, you can at least invite me to a party and listen my complaints.
Oh,btw after few ticket support team sent me link that i need to buy it from.Guess what,it was NA store's link and OF COURSE IT DIDN'T WORK, SO THEY REFUND IT! AGAIN! Do i need to give you a lesson about your store ??
**I have nothing against any Content Creators.I just wanted to highlight how SE treats their customers.
