So, it seems that the reason why we can't have both genders right now is due to content and gear fixing, and I came up with a possible solution. Instead of taking content away from other areas, they could do gear lvl 2-49 51-59 and 61-69 show as the racial gear, and maybe not show head gear on the missing genders. That way, they can ensure a smooth release for both on 6.0 without hurting the game and ensuring that the only ones who "suffer" Are those who will take full advantage of the missing genders

What exactly do you mean by 'content'? Like dungeons and the like? That is probably done by an entirely separate team than the ones doing gear probably. /thread

By content I meant the difficulties of making the new races, gear fitting for instance

I think the reason they gave is that they were trying to appeal to 2 subsets of players: ones who had wanted Viera since seeing the pre-HW concept art, and ones that wanted a more beastial race after seeing Lupin in 4.0. So they tried to appease both.

That said, I’m thinking it’s pretty likely 6.0 will see the addition of Male Viera and Female Hrothgar. If for no other reason than this will be the most asked question at any and all Q&A from now until 6.0 Fanfests.

Im talking about the items that nobody would use (leveling gear) plus this is only meant to affect the missing genders
