The first time I ran The Limitless Blue (Hard), I was knocked off the edge of the arena literally 5 seconds into the fight, and I had to sit and watch while the rest of the party killed Bismark without me. It didn't help that one loser accused me of jumping off the ledge intentionally and told everyone to report me for griefing.

What? You didn't say it had to be a good memory.

Seriously though, it has to be an early run of Ala Mhigo where everyone but me died while Zenos was at about 5-7% and I managed to solo him the rest of the way. Pulled out every stop in my kit to keep myself alive and burn him down. As he went down, I thought to myself - It's moments like these that make me love playing tank. I almost had this experience again on I think an A4 or A8 run as DRK, but sadly couldn't pull it off.

I have a few really cherished memories in XIV, but I think my most favored one right now happened earlier today in a wacky o12s party - 6 tanks, 2 healers.

We cleared male and female and progging (yes - progging) Final Omega has honestly been one of the most fun things I've done in this game. The composition completely breaks his Patch and Hello, World mechanics - everything is assigned randomly, from both designated MT and OT and healers getting both greens or blues, to healers getting short and long stacks. The best part? Everyone was still super eager to keep going!

Also from earlier today - being part of the 6 healer, 2 tank o10s run and killing it pretty smoothly.

My other best memory was queuing mentor roulette and being placed in The Royal Menagerie on AST. Partner is a WHM so I just go Noct - shields are always useful. Everyone was new; gave them the basic gist of the major mechanics and go from there. We wipe and restart. Pull again, lots and lots of deaths and end up with only me up, so I show them how to do the mechanics since all of them are watching me and it's past the add phase. Solo eat Akh Morns and keep an eye on the LB bar. Healer LB3. This happens two more times with them saying things like, "omg this immortal ast", "3 lbs wtf." Well, I find myself alone again, watching the LB bar (nearly 3 bars, it's like 2.8) and then Shinryu gets smart and smacks me with the soak AoE mechanic. Touché lizard. Okay, reset happens and the party is apologizing profusely and promise to get serious. We pull - run is flawless. I was never prouder of sprouts. Also got all of the commendations~

Most memorable would be in several parts.

1st when it was the end of v1. Waiting for Dalumud to fall.



Then it would be to wander around seeking for the deities stones current location because we (FC) spoke of the 1st part.

And to share again, which ended up with group pic around what was the current month stone.



But in a way it would be the whole journey that is my most memorable memory.

(edit for some more context : in v1 there was a quest which made us travel to pray the rocks of the twelves to save eorzea from Dalamud's fall.
FCmate join XIV late HW, so didn't know about the story but was curious when the topic came one time.
So we traveled. Shared the said experience and then came the last pic there ;3 )

Memorable memories... *(pauses to reflect)*

I have several but the one below was quite memorable for me. The image below was the very last time I was logged into 1.0 before Bahamut hit...I purposefully wanted to be on my Paladin job at the very end so I could go out protecting people. By the way this was what the main charcater selection UI used to look like back then




Also memorable was the very very insightful conversation I had with Gaius towards the end of 1.0 (patch 1.23)... some of his dialogue really begins to chime a chord now.




Seeing Sensei Louisoix for the last time...




Seeing the new Limsa during 2.0 alpha test was breathtaking... wait, I BELIEVE we could only access Gridania + Shroud areas during alpha test and then Limsa by beta phase 2 or 3... or 4. Darn it... I forget now.

There was a time a couple years ago when I was running Xelphatol with my boyfriend because he hadn't done it yet. I was a Xaela Au Ra and he's a Seeker Miqo'te. We ended up with a Raen Au Ra and a Keeper Miqo'te who were also boyfriends. It was a rare fun and chatty dungeon run.

A similar time, I lagged out in Void Ark and one party member was really upset about it and was super happy when I made it back. Then like a week or so later I was doing RDM duty roulettes at like 1am and got them again and they actually remembered me, and it was a really fun and chill run of Copperbell while they helped a friend level.

The sad thing is stuff like that sticks out so much because the rest of the runs are bad or just boring.

Clearing Thordan EX on the 2nd week of his release only doing PF groups. Honestly was the last last time I felt a real sense of challenge and accomplishment in the game and will probably remain so for the rest of this games lifespan.

My most memorable moment in this game is clearing Thordan ex with my FC after they all died and, thanks to lag, I managed to kill Thordan before his enrage killed me. It was the best moment in this game ever.
