This will never happen.

This will never happen.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
No. don't start setting the precedent that bethesda gets away with
Mods will fix it! why bother fixing bugs and making a functioning game when we can let our fanbase do it for us?
As much as it is a good suggestion, as other stated, it would be difficult and way too complicated to do.
Modders can take up to weeks to mod a single piece of clothing, for many reasons. I doubt they'd have the resources, time and willingness to mod an entier bestial-like female body that works around the emotes and gears of the Hrothgar for exemple. I guess it could be done for the Viera, but there would still be a lot of time to put in it, plus, the voice would still be an issue (they cannot change sounds in game, only textures or models, as far as I know).
So saddly I don't believe this could work![]()

It's really not a good suggestion. Not ragging on you personally, and I hope it doesn't come off that way and SINCERELY apologize if it does, but this is absolutely the hill I will die on. It essentially devalues the worth of the asset team who are already putting in hours of their own time to meet our needs. Never, ever give a company the expectation that they can get something for free. Because that company won't go 'cool the fans are dedicated, thanks for the help!' and instead will go 'why are we paying these asset artists if people will just do their work for free'? As someone who works in a creative industry it's an attitude that should NEVER be fostered because once it's settled in with a company those employees start dropping worth like a rock in water. Especially in an industry like gaming where unions are still frowned upon. /Especially/ in countries like Japan where workers are already put through the ringer do to insane societal expectations between the bosses and their underlings. As much as it is a good suggestion, as other stated, it would be difficult and way too complicated to do.

Worse yet you can end up with companies like Bethesda who got so used to the fans doing their work for them that their games became soulless cash ins that barely innovate or bother to fix bugs because 'the fans will do it'.

I actually meant that it was a good suggestion in the "it's a good intention" way. I do know it wouldn't be a good thing, as you mentioned. I'm not a fan of companies letting players 'help' them this way, anyway.

I'm sure Yoshida was asked about possibility to add official mod community like TESO has, and he said his no because of copyright issues and their laws (it was quite long ago so I'm not sure that will can find a source but will try). We should remember that this game was created not in USA and also works officially in a lot of countries which makes things even more complicated. Not to mention that games that allows you mod them officially often are "so-so" by themselves because "ah, modders will fix it probably for us". So while the idea itself is not necessarily bad, the possible result can be very disappointing in long-term perspective.

Where there people who didnt Male miquote or fem roe? If that's the case then those players will get over it just the same. And if you dont like it dont play it. Those players must be the same that asked to hide other players glamors when the Male bunny suits came put

There were people like this. And, what a surprise (not really even a surprise tho), some of them switched to male Miqo'tes and females Roes in 2.0. Just open the thread for missing genders from 1.0, there is a person who was against of "eye candy" and "lore breaking" male Miqo right at the 1st page.![]()
this and that are entirely different situations. adding them will harm the game long term. the devs flat out said what they would have to give up and what would happen if they did include them. With those races you mentioned it was different since they could handle them without any major drawback both short term and long term. People keep getting so caught up in "ooo shiny I want it" and don't pay attention to the negative effects it will have not only on the game, but the game's development and the development staff as well. Of course, resort to stupidity like labeling all those players as somebody who asked for something so mundane as that instead of considering that there are logical reasons behind it. x.x
Do you think that people will be mad because male viera or female hrotgar are added? The only reason some ppl dosent want them is because of some ppl (like on from a thread that has already died) made us look bad and they didnt want us to get what we wanted. at least 99% of the playerbase wouldnt get anywhere close to mad because others have more options than beforethis and that are entirely different situations. adding them will harm the game long term. the devs flat out said what they would have to give up and what would happen if they did include them.
