Thread: What jobs will you main in 5.0, and will you have a secondary one as well?

What jobs will you play in 5.0? For me, I'm gonna stay Paladin, though I will most likely make gunbreaker my secondary job for endgame content, since it looks pretty awesome imo.

Well considering i "main" 3 classes pretty much i will just say...


As much as dancer is what i like, i am really curious to see what whm has become with my own eyes when it releases, so maybe i'll go through story with it. Maybe.

But otherwise, dancer, bard, whitemage and dark knight.

WHM is my only solid "definite" main. Want to see how it plays out with these changes and if it still feels as fun. RDM I'm kind of skeptical on, but may keep to it simply because I like the idea of weaving melee/magic. NIN and MCH are both looking to be up there on the priority list. WAR for tank role, most likely lol.

I'm staying DRK and WHM.

For secondary job I liked SAM in SB but I don't know, I didn't like that double Midare Setsugekka, while on the other side MCH and DNC seem very fun and DRG and BLM looked "fixed" and optimised.

Looks like the fixed tanking enough for me to go back to pld. Been Sam all of 4.0. Was pld for 2.0 and 3.0

Warrior has been my main since day 1 of playing so that's what's gonna be the same going forward. I'm def looking forward to Gunbreaker (I love all my tanks), but I'll likely keep focusing on Scholar, Red Mage, and Dragoon as my side gigs.

Probably level DRK first through MSQ unless queues seem longer than normal for tanks.

Will level DRG second simply because my combat retainer is DRG, so I gotta level it so my retainer can level... I am also hype for the new abilities.

Now actual hype... will level MCH third because of all those FFVI tools... and I'm secretly hoping that it will have a new LB3 too... believe in the Chainsaw.

BLM will be fourth, then after that I'm probably gonna go back and level things by roles since I usually save my gear til I'm done leveling all jobs associated with it to max level. prob tanks > casters > ranged > melee > healers

Sticking with my usual role trio of NIN/DRK/WHM after seeing the changes.

Torn between MCH and DNC for ranged physical.

Staying with SCH/SMN, the former will at least give me quicker queues when doing the story so that should be easier than leveling up two seperate jobs.
