I've really enjoyed seeing the Paris Fan Fastivals Key Note and then Yoshida dropped a word which let my Lala ears tingle - Collector's Edition. \o/ Sadly I had to work on that day, as preorder started. So a few hours later I found the Physical Steam CE in the SE store and it said 'waiting list', while the PC standalone and PS4 Version still were available. Later then i saw that these also had become sold out. :/

And now I'm sitting here - and waiting. 200€ in my hand ready to get thrown against the monitor. But still, nothing, no sign of change.

And tbh, I've started the game just one and a half year ago and I set myself an agenda: Leveling up all my remaining classes up to Lv70 before Shadowbringers. So much I wanna have that Grani mount and the Revolver glam and even some of the physical things that come with CE are kinda cool, even all that will become ... hmm ... how should I call that... in germany we would say 'dust catcher'.
But still, I wanna have it and I wanna pay for it. And my girlfriend wants it, and a lot of people too I guess. But one thing I wanna have even more is that 30%-Exp-Bonus-Earring to help me achieve the goal of this personal agenda. And since you said delivery starts on March you basically giving me two options: I can wait an undifined time for the Physical CE or I can buy the much cheaper Digital CE as soon as we're hitting March.

Honestly, I really appreciate all the work you do and my demands might be egoistic. But as stated above me, my gf and a lot of other people have already opened their pockets desperately wanting to get rid of their hard earned money. And here we! Just waiting for this gray button to turn red again. Just waiting for you to say: 'Sure, we can take care of you money'!

Register in the waiting list and SE will send you an email with a link to a specific stock when they will be available.
I suspect that this year the demand for the CE was higher.

Production of the figurines takes time and requires a prior deal with the producer.
They could sell 20,000 preorders, but if their producer can only make 5,000 models by the release date, it'll be a PR disaster like Bethesda's "canvas" bags.

Nah, extras of the Stormblood Japanese CE were available on Japanese retail sites like CD Japan for months after the expansion was released.

It's really SE underproducing in the west for artificial scarcity.

That's why I said that my demands may be egoistic. And this posting wasn't about to push SE, more like to let them know people are here and waiting, willing to pay the price. I just feel a bit left in the dark for no Information to come out how production is going. It's two weeks by now and - correct me if I'm wrong - I couldn't find any status update on that. Also I don't expect them to tell me a specific date when I get mine but some Info like 'We gonna need two more weeks' or 'two more month' would be something at least.

You're the customer. There's nothing wrong with you making suggestions on how SE can better serve you, and make more money for themselves in the process.

It's been anticipated. Many people would get the CE this year so it makes sense to register for waiting list and make sure they will send an email when it's available. This will also help them to gauge the demand in order to supply enough stock.

I would hope that, at least by this point, squenix would have SOME kind of idea of gauging interest in the things they clearly dont. (I dont want a CE because that's waaaay overpaying, but I know plenty of people who really, really do).

That they seem to do 0 research is a bit worrying.
