Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
The grind does not justify the cost of the reward.
This event is so we can help new players coming to the game, otherwise they would never be MSQ dungeons.
It'll last up to 5.1 was it? Can take time to do while not farming to death.
Does't mean I won't give up because I still hate farming but that's the goal of the event I think.

Makes it a bit short though. Most reward can thankfully be get outside the event. If not all beside the earrings.
Don't know about some orchestrions as I never remember the names.

This is definitely an odd change to the usual Moogle event... especially because it was just handing him a couple hundred gil per item and your done. This is just insanity, I could see 50 being the top cost.... not 200.
Not only is the amount you need too much imo but I am also not sure if they are really going to help newer players with this. Those that want some of them are probably forced to use the fastest way to get to this and what will happen to all the other story dungeons that they did not put on the list? What will happen with groups that lost players if you cant join it later without losing the price? Why not simply make every ARR and HW dungeon with the price to give variety to the veterans and not take away players from other dungeons. Why not give more for the roulettes which would mean that those dungeons that are needed will be filled..these choices really baffle me.
Making them "adventurer in need" bonus rewards seems like it would be the best approach. Make it long-term, perhaps make the prices higher, make them a nice bonus to work towards as a thankyou for actially being put where they are needed.
Right now I feel like the two main ways people are going to be grinding are:
- forming pre-made full parties (which will not help new players)
- queuing individually, adding even more DPSes to the queues and making the new players wait even longer for their turn.
I'm also forseeing nothing else for leveling roulette all month.
Nope. Hard pass. I dont care if they double the tokens per duty. I refuse.
As someone who already has everything on this reward list except for the maps and namazu earrings. Is there anything special about either? Are the earrings just glam? Any hints on what those treasure maps might entail?
