Devs missed an opportunity with Red Mage in 5.0

Why didn’t we get Verwater and Verblizzard as AoE options in Shadowbringers? Seems a bit odd as we’d have obtained all the elements for Red Mage then. They could have easily said Red Mages learned from the mistakes of White Mages (who didn’t use enough Water aether, contributing to the great flood in the War of the Magi) and use Verwater to obtain balance like they always tried to do. There’s a severe lack of offensive water magic in the game so I was really hoping Red Mage would be the job to address that lack of balance (ironic that they don’t). White Mage dropped the ball on that since all they have is Fluid Aura (lol). It’s just really strange and doesn’t make sense to me.

The job hasn't really changed much, it's still RDM but with a couple of extra actions and adjustments. Yes chain Rez is still possible so that hasn't gone anywhere.
