Hairstyle Concerns for The New Races

I believe both male and female au ra had acces to all the hairstyles at that point in the game on benchmark's release

Can confirm this as they had hairstyles up to 2.4 minus the paid ones.

with the Aesthetician kinda make up for inability to change hair with Jandelaine
(Skins basically fur not too much of a stretch compared to other races)

Oh crap. I guess we really get what we saw in the benchmark on release. Well i guess it's a trade-off for having a beast race right? /sarcasm

That's pretty disappointing to hear the new races won't have the old hairstyles at launch, or some ever. I haven't checked out Hrothgar, but Viera only really have like 6 styles since the others are simply the same styles with bangs/daisies added.

I think SE should have just done 1 race without this limitations, but we got what we got for now, lets be happy with it and hope for more in 6.0

I'm not happy with this at all. You don't get a free Fantasia to change races, and on top of that, for Hrothgar, you can't change your hair at all without buying another Fantasia. Viera has more hairstyles that can be changed with the aesthetician, at the very least. Why not make it so that you can switch between the two hairstyle options per face without a Fantasia? More face types only makes the problem worse if hairstyles can't be changed, even between what extremely limited options there are.

Edit: Apparently it came with the collector's edition only, but this still doesn't bode well in terms of value for price, as two races were added and no Fantasia is listed as included with the collector's edition.

I expected it to be like this, but it's still pretty disappointing for it to be confirmed. While its nice that they're thinking about it, I'm also somewhat skeptical that they'll actually make more faces for Hrothgar.

This would be a nice trade off, but I am also doubtful they'd do it.

Eeeeeesh, Viera came out to be a Limited Limited race. This is very unseemly coming from Square-Enix...much less from Yoshida as a producer. Did they really just lose the ability to create races now? I get the thousands of armors argument but the hairstyles.........are.....not that hard to add for Viera. They have the same skull structure as the rest of the "human" races like Miqo'te and Roegadyn.

No male Viera I can begrudgingly understand, but missing 20+ hairstyles and now this weird statement that they might not add all of them to Viera? I can't help but laugh!
Yeah devs...you've lost me on this one, next time just add full Hrothgar if it mattered that much to you. My theory is Hrothgar took them so much time to design that the time spent on the "rest" of the Viera customization like hairstyles took a backseat in February/March.

Is it possible to get a Dev response about whether or not we will be able to change Hrothgar face, or at least linked face with the two hairstyles, by the aesthetician? I find the situation very disconcerting that the race would require a fantasia every time if so.
