Regarding Hrothgar and Benchmark

Bah. I didn't see this thread before I made one. The hairstyles being linked to the face option is a deal breaker for me. In all honestly it really looks like Viera had more work put into them than Hroth did. I like the body frame for Hrothgar tho. They do look rather different than Roes body wise. Which I'll be honest I thought they were just going to be head swapped.

Will stay a Male Mi'qote tho.

As a side note... now everyone know's how Au Ra felt with their horns being locked to a face type.

Im still Excited for my Bara Cat Daddy...but I too hope that we get more hairstyles....
Because the limited Options we have are VERY Underwhelming. Hell there isn't even a Bald Option if I decide I don't Want/Like the Human Hair.

On the Other Hand.....My Main is starting to look like it might turn into a Viera...I love their options~

I don't think they said more customization, I think they said their heads had unique features that prevented most headgear from working.

Hats that show hair have a different hair model for that "hair tucked into the hat" look. They wanted viera to have big hair styles, and sacrificed making the smaller hat hair model. Maybe they wanted different head shapes for Hrothgar and the different hairs didn't line up and they didn't want to make multiple versions of the same hair to fit all the heads.

I don't think they said more customization, I think they said their heads had unique features that prevented most headgear from working.

Could be another case of mis-remembering, but I'll check when I get access back to a computer. I remember it as a)unique head features they don't want blocked by headgear, b)they didn't want to model the hair stuffed under hats, and c)in exchange for doing this they were giving us more customization for these two races

Went back and edited my original post because I mis-remembered the entire housing systems as being separate between FC and Personal, not the PRICES were supposed to be different... short quoted below, can click the arrows to see Yoshi's entire post. And no, he doesn't specifically state "I promise" in there, but it is also a change that was part of the original outrage about the entire housing system being as messed up as it is and there was never any apology of the prices being so insanely high (for at the time)

Personal Housing
While I cannot give a specific date on when personal housing will be implemented, I can say that prices will be completely separate from free company housing, and, naturally, far more affordable.

EDIT I'm just gonna save myself the sanity I have remaining and go with what Iscah says two posts below. Hrothgar were revealed at Tokyo, and idr any Letters after Fanfest until the one we got today...

Called it then, laughing now. I was never a fan of Hrothgar, the fact their face/hair are tied shows them to be little more than mask wearing Rogadyne with tails and bad posture. Implementation of Aura didn't separate horns, so i see no reason to expect a change with Hrothgar. I will not continue to call the dev team lazy, however i will see this as further proof Hrothgar was a mistake. Sadly Male Viera were sacrificed for a race with limited customization.

I'm gonna highly suggest waiting until Shadowbringers is officially released before you pick up your torch and pitchforks. Yoshi-P himself stated the benchmark had a chance of not even being released this month. More than likely they wanted to release it alongside the live letter, and thus weren't able to get everything they wanted in. Immediately believing what we're seeing in a benchmark is the absolute final finished product is being blatantly ignorant. Now if Hrothgar were fully released with their current lack of options, THEN I'd agree with the disappointment. But until then I'm not going to kneejerk myself off a cliff.

This is rather disappointing, though. I wonder if we will have more options in the launch build.
