    SE, Please, we need to talk about currency bloating our inventory.

    I know this topic has been covered before but with the release of Shadowbringer on the horizon, I feel it needs to be brought up again.

    I don't expect it to be resolved by the time ShB comes out, but hopefully it can be done mid expansion.

    It's a very simple concept:

    TL : DR THE AMOUNT OF CURRENCY BLOAT CURRENTLY IS RIDICULOUS

    84+ CURRENCIES THAT TAKE UP INVENTORY SPACE HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN STORMBLOOD ALONE

    A bit hyperbolic you say? Not when you think about it.

    8 new currencies added for every single raid tier normal mode alone. Plus 4 or 5 for savage.

    39 currencies from those two modes alone.

    8 different trial tokens in SB alone, more for the previous versions.

    3 currencies for completing the 24 mans (the coins)

    PoTD and HoH added their poshterds and silver and gold sacks each.

    3 different logs for Daily Hunts.

    Eureka is the current WORST offender:

    5 different types of crystal currency

    2 different types of Light currency

    4 boss drop currencies

    BA fragments

    4 normal lockboxes and 3 variations of those (Cold Warped, Heat Warped, Moisture Warped).

    9 different types of logograms. . .

    Materia should be considered a currency as well as much as we use them.

    It's gotten to the point where I have a retainer for nothing but currencies only. That's ridiculous.

    In Stormblood alone, there are 84 currencies. 84 inventory slots taken up for no reason when there's a currency tab. More if I missed some somewhere.

    Something drastically needs to be done for the Quality of Life of this system.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
