did she play heal? tank? try play a class that have small responsibility like dps, especially for someone with age of 13 i doubt she can take the "finger blaming" feel when it come to stuff like that, especially if she is a sensitive person.

Nah If someone else is being a dick to someone in a trail/dungeon I'm in Im going to speak up
if it you maybe yes, but we are talking about 13 years old daughter here, and op already told us that IT IS partially her fault so.... blame? yes, but maybe the blaming is a bit excessive in this case. In mmo games that kind of attitude is consider normal though, either she face reality and face it like a real man (girl) or take a break from mmo and play singleplayer games first, its the only choice i can see.

look at the bright side, consider it a life experience, if she can get behind it she can develop a strong will and it will be useful in the future later when she start going to be working in real life.

I dont care whose fault it is, 1 wipe is a piss poor excuse to bully someone, stop trying to excuse it. I seriously doubt this 13 yr old is doing savages, so it was a wipe in a trial or dungeon. Mistakes happen all the time, if you simply can not stand one without being a dick then dont play games or socialize.

Ouch. If she does play again, have her try to do the Amaljaa beast tribe quest. Those quests inspired me that despite the fair-weather people out there and being outnumbered from time to time, the will to improve oneself in battle will be beneficial in the long run.

I suggest not to give up to easily either. Mistakes happen from time to time, and we can always learn from one way or another.

This is what frustrates me about the Internet. Harassment is accepted as normal and people who don't like it are told to either get thicker skin or stay off the Internet as if they are the problem and the one who needs to change rather than the offender. I tried to speak up against some of the nasty people in eureka chat a few times but nobody else backed me up.

I would love for people to be held responsible for their online trash talk and punished in the same way you'd be punished for harassing people out on the street. Any time you are reported for saying sick unacceptable things or attacking people on services like Facebook and FFXIV, those service providers can send details of what you did to some central Internet police thing which builds a profile on all of your cyber misdemeanours and has the power to temp block you from the Internet altogether. Weed out all of the keyboard warriors. If you want freedom of expressing insults then that can happen on some darkweb, not the normal Internet.

    Yeah its a real shame.
I think this is why SE double down on what can be reported, being behind a screen just brings out the worst in people when they can be anonymous.

Is not "accepted" but come on .. pretty much on any online forums/games you can /blacklist /ignore /block /report etc until it becomes something like them logging onto other characters/accounts to keep doing it to you, then is nothing to yell about.

I started to play Diablo 1 online that I was 3. Following up Diablo 2, WoW, Dofus and many other online games.
Not a typo. I was literally three years old when i started to play computer games and online since I used to play with my grand-dad, still remember he helping me giving me Enigmas and other runewords in diablo 2 \o/.

Thing is, online has always been filled with people that feels free to bring down others because its just behind a screen, so they feel strong to talk like that. I'm sorry for your daughter and yes I do think the "cyberbullies" are a bad thing, but this ain't a case of cyberbullism, he just blamed her for an her mistake. Its not a matter of confidence but skills. I started to play very early, especially in WoW i was being blamed every so often, but the right approach i thought and i still think is to take it positively and step back and say "Yes i didn't do a good job, next time i'll get it". I'm really sorry for your daughter getting offended but that's not a case of cyberbullism, thats just someone making a rude comment, getting blamed and pointed in MMO's happens everyday to everyone of us, from having a bad day to being inexperienced and many other causes that other person that had a bit of a bad day or just likes to be a rude prick can't know, making one comment at a random does not qualify for bullying you out of it.
That being said, hope your daughter gets harder shell, online has never been a good place for a kid I best of all know it.

Hey, OP. I'm kinda in the same boat as you - my daughter is around the same age as yours, and loves playing this game. However, one caveat: I do not allow her to enter any group content without either me or her dad (or on the best days, both of us) "in person". That way she has a shield against idiots. We also regularly discuss online behaviours with her, because at her age, she doesn't have all the coping skills an adult has to deal with it, let alone the understanding. We've talked about bullying, both online and off, as well. I imagine you've done the same, but it seems like it's a good time to go over all that again with your kid. Remind her she's awesome for doing this stuff, remind her just how far she's come as a player, and she doesn't need to give up because of a setback. Help her understand mistakes happen (I reckon you've already done this, but it bears repeating for anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation), and the best way to get over it, is to get back up on the horse and try again.

Only this time, please go with her. It's both more fun when you do stuff like this with your kid (as you already know!), but it's for her safety too. Also, you get the chance to be the best parent by telling a bully to get stuffed and what-have-you if the situation arises. You will show by direct example how to deal with bullies, probably some of the best teaching opportunities you'll get for that sort of thing (let's make a negative experience have a positive outcome at least). On top of that, it's a great, subtle way to work on communication and teamwork with your kid, because you can discuss strategy and whatnot as you go.

Chin up to your kid, and again, please remind her how awesome she's been, and that mistakes happen - don't miss the opportunity to learn from them. <3 & *hugs* for your daughter!

    As some people mentioned before

    PEGI 16

    The fault is on you.

I'm sorry for what your kid experienced, if I had one of course I wouldn't wish mine to go through something like that, but it happened under your permission and responsibility. Should've prevented her before starting to interact with others.
