I mean if youre going to start bullying after just one wipe maybe youre the crybaby. Mistakes happen, learn how to handle them like a normal person.
I could understand if it was multiple times but once is just whatever.

Source: https://pegi.info/de/search-pegi?q=final+fantasy+xivPEGI Rating: Suitable for 16 years and over. Not for sale to persons under age 16.
You can encounter some really mean and inconsiderate people in this game and it can be really tough to deal with, especially when you are still new to the game and everyone is nitpicking you.
A number of experiences I went through while going through the MSQ hurt me for weeks or were so demoralising that it was difficult to see a way to continue playing.
Unfortunately, you encounter it sometimes and since adults can find it difficult enough to deal with, it's probably not going to be handled well by a 13-year-old. The fact remains that your daughter is playing a game not suitable for her age.
She needs to either take a deep breath and use it to grow (since a similar experience will likely happen in an online game in the future), or try the game again when she is older and better able to cope with such people.
Pegi is not a word wide rating.
For example in good old Germany the game has a 12 year rating. And Germany is not the onliest country with a lower rating![]()

As a parent, this is also a good time to help your kiddo understand other people as well. It may seem harsh, but eventually she'll need to deal with intolerant people. I dont by any means condone the other players, but you wont always be around to shield your kids from rude people. Teaching thfm how to cope and deal with it will be a useful and critical life skill.

1: You are letting your 13 year old play a game with 16+ rating.
2: Tell her to make use of the /blacklist function.
I was avoiding comment because it's pretty obvious that the original poster is just letting off steam in a random direction, since the person who was mean is 99% unlikely to actually be on this board. And the logical solution is to tell the kid that people online are dorks, so feel free to ignore them. But then we get into this ratings system thing.
Seriously?
Ratings systems are garbage and completely beside the point. The kid is 13 and perfectly capable of wacking some nasties in a dungeon. I'm sure the person being mean was old enough to know better.

Aye, the ratings basically mean that if your kid is younger than the recommended age to play, then they need supervision, which is what OP was doing.
I was playing Final Fantasy games since I was 5
That creepy looking boss in that submarine in FF7, and the T-rexsaur in FF8 always scared me, but other than that it was fine.
