Terrible people play online games; it's a sad truth we all have to deal with. Please tell your daughter not to give up! Were it me, I'd try to play with her as often as possible in the event something like this happens again. The right person stepping in makes all the difference. It does when I do it for my friends, anyway.

In the future, if something is spoken that's against the ToS, I highly recommend sending a report through the support desk; FFXIV's GMs tend to do a pretty good job dealing with in-game harassment.
