[FSH] Next Ruby Dragon window in 23 days?

Am I seeing this right?
Based on the numerous weather calculators available, the next Ruby Dragon window is a month away. That fish has a low hook rate as well. At least 1 window every week, or biweekly, should be the max time-wise.
I know resources are stretched very thin, especially right before Shadowbringers, but Fishers need a bit of love (new fishers still have their inventory filled with Bait as well as the spear off-hand being stuck at a lower ilvl than their other DoL counterparts ; spearfishing is a dead end right now too, some Big Fish there could've been cool).

Looks like the Fishing Log won't be filled for a while...

That's quite bad. I guess 4.5 is the new 3.5 for unreasonable big fishing patches. Not that anyone *needs* to complete their log/guide but I think it would be more fair to at least give people the opportunity at catching things during the hours they have to play, while keeping the catch rate absurdly low if there has to be a timesink activity to end an expansion. Not this zero chances for a month thing.

It's just a matter of the math not being in our favor. There's nothing we or SE can really do about it, since the weather is mathematically pre-determined far in advance by whatever algorithm they have in place. They aren't going to sit down and emergency reprogram the game's weather code just so this fish's weather appears slightly more often, at least not right now.

I understand and I'm not advocating for an emergency reprogram of the thing, but more of something to think about going forward (apologies if it came out clunky). It will be low priority for sure, but maybe modifying the weather pattern algorithm so that no fish has only one window for 3 weeks real-time would be beneficial. Big Fishing is already harsh enough (looking at you Stethacanthus), but having a drought period like this is a shame to me.

At least your not sitting at Opabinia right now drinking cordials getting the wrong Fish Eyes repeatedly for 20 minutes. High quality designed fishing right there. Sit there and watch your gp refresh while you do nothing. Fish Eyes is easily the worst designed ability in the game.

Agree. Fish Eyes' current problem, at least to me, is the fact that multiple fish use a different Fish Eye. I wouldn't mind the skill as much if every fish in that spot needing Fish Eyes just had the same one.

Fish Eyes wouldn't be so bad if the GP cost wasn't so ridiculously high.

I feel like the FSH GP costs in general are pointlessly high compared to those of MIN/BTN for how much benefit they give you.

i also think that ruby dragon is horrible, its almost 4 months since its out and I havent missed a single window of it (14 or 15 in total atm i think) and I couldnt even get a bite, lol
having to wait 1 month for another window is just stupid. A single fish shouldnt take half a year on average or even more (while not missing a single window) to get it >_>
