    Please no more Eureka!

    Having heard they plan something like Eureka in 5.0 i just had to throw my 2 cents in.

    No yoshi P, its not well received, people just do it because you hide Emotes, mounts and Relics behind it. Btw: I seriously dont know why people do content they dont enjoy. I for myself wont finish this Relic. Having played Aion back in the day, i truly know what grind is and when i first entered pagos, tried it for a few hours.... i felt just like back in Aion.

    Same for the 4.X pvp btw. People dont like it, they just play it because we simply have no other option for doing pvp in this game. PvP'ers dont wanna pay 2 Subs just so they can enjoy the pvp of another MMO.

    Players have been vocal about Eureka, a lot say they hate it, yes there are a few who like it but most of your costumers dont. You cant just assume that your players like it because they do the content, they do it for the Stuff thats locked behind it. Please rethink that "idea" and maybe put in another storyheavy relic like in ARR or Heavensward.

    Can't speak for this relic, but in previous expansions they eventually became your BiS. So for people who liked to aim for that, or serious raiders, it was pretty much required, even if it required slogging through grinds and content that frankly were way below your skill level.

    Reminds me of Azerite power in WoW right now, tbh. Best way to get them is through world quests (basically dailies) and these really boring faceroll instances called island expeditions. Even if you're a Mythic raider pushing prog on Jaina you still have to mass-AOE your way through braindead stuff to unlock your class's full potential. It's always been a frustrating conundrum for me, and part of the reason I'm glad I don't raid seriously in either game anymore.

    Myself and many others I play with enjoy Eureka, it's our favorite content in the game. I'm personally very happy they will be adding another version of it in ShB.

    I just don't get all of this vehement aggression towards it. I don't like Savage Raiding or PvP, yet I don't bemoan SE or Players that enjoy it, I'm happy people are able to have something in this game they enjoy and am happy for them when they succeed at it. The rewards from both are good, but I don't feel that I'm owed any of it, the people that put in the effort for it did hard work and deserve it just as myself and others who enjoy eureka got joy out of getting our rewards from it.

    Please stop asking for content to be removed that you personally don't like, we all have aspects of this game we enjoy and none of us want that feeling taken away.

    The difference is in the amount of effort that gets put into the content. Savage raiding, from a model and area standpoint, doesn't take nearly as many resources as Eureka. And while I'm sure it takes a lot of time to design the fight mechanics, the majority of that effort gets used in the Normal version of the fights, which virtually all players can experience and enjoy.

    When our sub money is being used to fund incredibly large amounts of time and effort towards content we don't like, we have the right to complain about it. The creation of Savage raids doesn't remove a noticeable amount of resources from other parts of the game. Eureka absolutely does.

    no one actually knows how much work goes into Savage/Ultimate content because you can't just equate it to: Assets = development time. Who knows how many devs are constantly creating, balancing, reworking, scrapping, testing, bugging all of those fights over and over because the endgame raiders would never stand for a buggy fight. Eureka sure has a ton more assets, but all of the fight mechanics are simple AF and probably require minimal testing as they can all be cleared by the most casual of players.

    You might use the "PVP has less maps also" but 1- Yoshi P didn't make any statements about it being difficult or time consuming to make PVP maps and 2- those are aimed at small number of players that enjoy PVP (doesn't necessarily have to be hardcore PVPers). So they don't bother with it that much.

    This. Locking something like that (And other stuff like emotes and hairstyles) behind it for me just feels like they're trying to force and manipulate players into having to go there whether they want to or not. Want this Expansion's Relic? Well, tough luck, you're going to have to spend hours upon hours locked in this content that is totally different to everything else in the game, whether you like it or not.

    It is because content was taken away from the average player and shoved into Eureka as a carrot to get people to do. Not because Eureka was fun for them and they liked Eureka, but because Eureka couldn't stand on its own and they had to put something people really wanted inside of it to force people to play Eureka. Then, when all is said and done and even though a lot of people disliked it they can say that it was a success because people begrudgingly played it. Meanwhile, for people that liked the relic weapon and doing it but also dislike the playstyle of Eureka, they just lost content altogether.

    You didn't lose content, you lost a reward. Past relics were basically Tome Farming, and tome farming is still in the game, and already provides the overall best casual weapon. However, people that are bored of tome farming after several years of it actually gained a "new" content.

    Also, saying that Eureka only survived because people wanted the rewards there is a nonsense. Every content only survives because people want something there. The only exception is the extremely small part of the playerbase that actually runs Savage and Ultimate for the competitive aspect even after they have all the items they need.

    Frankly, I felt the dungeons were really bland, especially considering they could have done something much more interesting lorewise with The Burn and Ghimlyt Dark. As for instance battes, we have more of them in SB than what we had in HW, so it's not like they sacrificed it for Eureka.
