Now, I would guess that if I went through your post history, I could probably find at least one or two items that you've requested to be added/changed/tweaked in this game, right? Or are you trying to say that you are 100% satisfied with how everything is in XIV and wouldn't change a thing?

You won't find anything in my post history about wanting to change a central element to the game. The thing I request changes to the most is housing, which is actually almost entirely separate from the rest of the game. Furthermore the housing situation is almost universally hated, unlike the msq.

Housing is a big deal to a lot of people. Just because you don't find it that important/vital, doesn't mean others feel the same. Do you see how this works? MSQ is important as well, but it's just one piece of the whole puzzle.

Please direct me to where I said housing isn't important or vital. You will find I said no such thing. I said it's separate to most of the rest of the game. Housing is actually one of the things I love most about FFXIV. I did not say it didn't matter. Stop putting words into my mouth.

MSQ isn't just one piece of the puzzle, its the table that the puzzle is being put together on.

I have a couple of thoughts about this.

First on all the cut scenes. I have never like how many there are. Me waiting for 5 secs, while I wait for a head nod, or for the npcs to walk away. I simply detest most of them.

Keep in mind, for this game to thrive the game has to continually attract new players. Other big games have figured this out. It is unrealistic to expect new players to play by themselves for months while they catch up to friends and the current expansion.

I've never been a fan of the MSQ, well I like the important parts but I could have skipped about 60% of it with no issue. Also I don't remember most of the the ARR story, sure I know the main characters but 80% of it is simply forgettable. I'm not sure what the answer is, but with each expansion this new player barrier becomes greater and greater. I for one want this game to stick around and attracting new players is key.

It is attracting a lot of new players who love the story, FFXIV doesn't have to have every single WoW refugee join for it to be successful and continue/
