[FEEDBACK] Why I cancelled my subscription: no way for new players to get into raids

I finally reached lvl70 and ilvl390 gear.

I already queued hours for the Trials of the MSQ, but literally no one does Deltascape anymore.

FC recruitment asks for experienced raider, which as a new player can't happen as per my previous point.

I have been raiding for 2 years in Rift, from first time playing MMO to main healer in my raid group, I have never experienced such barriers to get into raids.

You're trying to get into raids at a time where most people are unsubscribed waiting for the expansion. Not only that, no one but a select few people sworn to secrecy know how their classes are changing next tier. The only people still raiding now are only doing it for random giggles or are also playing catch-up just like you are. No one really trusts anyone else at this current point in time.

Recruitment should pick up again once the expansion hits, as actual raiding content is released one month afterwards to give everyone a chance to prepare and start on equal footing.

Firstly, not all FCs will be asking for "experienced raiders" unless that's what you're specifically looking for. I've seen a number of posts here advertising FCs for Tonberry. Have a look on the subforum for that world.

Secondly, are you trying to get into "story mode" or savage raids?

If it's just story mode, you may need to adjust your duty finder language settings. Have you gone into the settings (the cog icon on the top bar of the duty finder window) and changed it to "all languages"? If not, then the game will only be trying to match you with a full party of English speakers, which can take a long time.

Switch to all languages, possibly try to queue during peak hours, and you should get in soon enough.

If you're looking at savage, I can't help you for getting in, but we're on the same data centre and I know I've seen Party Finder listings for Deltascape recently.

If there isn't one you can join, you can create your own.

Hours for MSQ trials on Tonberry as a healer?

Did you forget to tick the language settings? Are you playing at 9am? Because that does not add up my dear.

When you say Deltascape... do you mean normal mode? Because I do them several times a week in a roulette. I just queued for 1.0 now as a healer and its 16mins, prime time is only barely beginning too.
Now if you mean Savage (Which is last expansions raid btw), well the nature of savage raids will mean everyone moves on to the next tier of course. But in a couple of months we will be lvl 80 and you can just duo the old raids like Deltascape Savage with a friend unsynced if you like.

As for FC recruitment. A serious 5.0 progression team will indeed want a serious member.
You have come to look for a raid group that is not only wanting to do content from a long time ago, but you have come during the pre-expansion lull. Many people are focused on preparing stuff IRL for Shadowbringers release so they can take time off and play :3

If you're talking about a normal mode for the raid, then you should be able to get in no problem due to the help of roulette system (if you're a DPS then it might take a while for the queue to pop). Nobody is doing savage anymore because the next expansion is so close, if you're planning on raiding then I suggest you should wait until then.

The language setting is a good advise, thanks for that. I normally use English, but Japanese seems a better bet.

You don't need to switch your game to be in Japanese. It's just a set of tickboxes, supposedly "which languages you are able to understand" and are willing to be paired with - but in practice, everyone has to tick Japanese because otherwise you'll struggle to find a party.

In defense of OP, the queues for Omega are horrendous at the moment (obviously for good reason). I made an alt on Crystal and each turn from o1n had an enormous queue, at least 45minutes +. I play as a tank. I gave up around sigma 3.

A good solution would be to add those instances in with this new moogle currency thing they're doing.

I haven't done any Extreme or Savage trial since i came back last year lol. I see no point in doing them. Your better off just accumulating gil and waiting for patches for the new crafted/tome gear/materia.

The only way you can do Savage/Extreme content is to join a static xD which is pretty much standard in any MMO.

I mean there is the Normal Raid Roulette to assist with queues, so something is available already. Having to queue for older Alex (normal) raids in HW and not having this Roulette often resulted in waits twice or thrice as long, so it's an improvement at least.
