Gender/Racial Locking in 2019

Title says it all really. I dont think we should be having Male/Female/Racial exclusive armors and weapons in this day and age.

I was beyond annoyed that my Roe was unable to wear Yunas summoner garbs and it still has me scratching my head as to why these types of restrictions still exist.

You may say *oh well it would lead to immaturity and raunchy uncalled for behavior* gimme a break people run around 90% naked all the time so having women be able to wear mens clothing and vise versa wouldn't cripple the game in any way.

Theres genuanly alot of female clothes that my Roe would look sweet in, and there are just some that shouldn't even be gender locked. Like Roe men can have golden leopard speedos but heaven forbid were allowed to wear stilettos and bras.

I guess the Gear thing is because they would need to revisit all the gender-specific Gear and adjust it to all the different models of the other gender. Which is a lot of work. (So basically same reasoning as with the races. They don't have that much resources/manpower avaiable, sadly).

Because Tifa/yuffie/aeriths gear isn't in the game for females. Or any of the main heroines other than Yuna and lightning. All of the veteran reward gear is from the male protagonists.

It's 2019 is the go to phrase when something isnt available for NA audiences that they feel they deserve. Personally I see the side of OP I;d love not to have keyhole armor in my fave dragoon set. but I understand the limitations of resources available for an older game system built atop another older game system.

It wouldn't cripple the game, no. But there are bigger issues than this that need addressed so this seems rather unnecessary.
