Its Eorzea. Its a fictional fantasy world with catgirls, flying turtles, two genders and outfits which cant be equipped by anyone.
- Queen of Heal 2022 -

Personally, I'd rather they put more resource into making more unique and interesting content than allowing a small handful of male Roe's to wear a bra and stiletto's.
FYI - I'm certain there are thigh high boots male characters can wear and if you look hard enough, there might be a top that passes for a bra

Coloseum set all the way! done.
I cannot to wait to see in 2020 what would be next controversial!
IRL you can wear whatever you want, and barring some obvious exceptions I will support you. This isn't real life though, this is a video game and we all operate within the strict confines of its creators. It is what it is, either accept it or play something else that doesn't offend you.

I actually like gender-locked stuffed because I prefer very feminine-outfits and most of the time that devs decide to make something "genderless" it's mostly tomboyish and not really my cup of tea.
Ideally we could have a lot of different designs leaning towards different tastes so since this is not the case... I would rather keep the genderlock-mindset while designing something than getting pants to wear on my AF sets.
However, for special cases such as NPC/special characters gears then yeah, I guess that having those things gender-locked is a bit eh.
Just because someone agrees with the OP they're their sidekicks and both of them are bored? Wow. Stop being so rude, that's ugly.

I definitely don't want to take away the pretty dresses or other femme attire; we don't have enough of the former, honestly. It's more that the balance has kind of ended up skewed over time, and I do miss SQX's attempt at maintaining an outfit's look across the spectrum like they used to. See: older tank AFs (masculine) vs. older BRD AFs (feminine); each one remains the same regardless of your character's gender.I actually like gender-locked stuffed because I prefer very feminine-outfits and most of the time that devs decide to make something "genderless" it's mostly tomboyish and not really my cup of tea.

There is always value in more options that don't hurt anyone. Unfortunately the perpetual echo chamber seems to be too hung up on sociopolitical insecurities to consider that when the precedent has been set for a very long time now. Unfortunately that's this forum with anything that slightly colors outside of the perceived lines.

Yes, it's 2019 and Male/Female are still genders for most animals on this planet.
