If you want a serious example, there's one from this game: the man in Kugane that falls in love with a yaro-kabuki performer. It's one of the more involved and heart-warming Stormblood sidequests.

Since I am older than 31, by a few years, and ff7 was my first introduction to the ff franchise, and a game I've played through probably at least a dozen times.. Yes, I'm definitely going to call bull on trying to use that as an analogy.

A bad idea is better than no idea. Implying that because SE had a character which crossdressed in a game 22 years ago they've somehow regressed on social issues is indeed a bad analogy. I mean, let's not forget the antagonists were ready to "knock the crap" out of Cloud for his transgenderism. It's not like they said "Oh he's so cute, almost had us fooled"

I really cant wait until thursday when people will be making posts about the upcoming battle changes in 5.0 that will eclipse these gender threads. At the end of the day, the devs have their priorities in what they want to implement that are not 100% transparent to players and will ultimately never align with players expectations 100%. It's simply not realistic to make games that way.

to try and be comprising to this ordeal: I would be equally up in arms as all these "gender threads" if they make changes to the battle system that I whole-heartedly disagree with. I will gladly eat my words if they do so, while probably crying.

Trust me when I tell you that until there is male viera and female hrotgar or the game gets shut down the genderlock removal threads won't die

Or the rest of the community will overall ignore and stop replying to the useless generated threads about it instead of sticking to one organized one, like me and the rest have said and are tired to repeat it.
Other than that, it's just another day on the official forum where some people just don't read the atmosphere or read the memo that there are far much important things for the upcoming expansion to fix or address ( looking at the fetch quests generated by the previous expansions and the balancing issues ).
