Scholar Male fairy!

i really want scholar to have male fairy that colors blue, im big fan of berserk so having male fairy reminds me of that character, plus having 2 fairys feel sexist like no male viera, i asked square A lot to add male fairy that buff defense or defense dps and heal, what do you all think?

Not having male viera isn't sexist.

The fairy that Scholars get is literally a unique being and she's called Lily.

Having a male fairy makes literally no sense, unless we get another Soul Crystal that has a male fairy bound to it instead of Lily.

I kinda get where you are coming from, and while i would like a male fairy, i don't think its Sexist.

We don't have two female fairies. We have one: Lily. Eos and Selene are two aspected stance for Lily (Dawn and Dusk)

The problem with adding a male fairy, is what function could it do that is not already covered by Eos and Selene? If they were to add a male fairy, we would actually get 2 more, aspected for dawn and Dusk.

In essence, i think we are more likely to get a glamour option similar to Egi Glamours... but that wouldn't work with the lore of the SCH.

Theres the added problem in that the animations for the SCH fairies are undoubtedly feminine... so would require a lot more resource than simply adding a new appearance. (I think this is the issue with Egi-Glamour too)

Summoner has an entirely different Job Lore. Maybe they get more, maybe not.

I don't think no male viera is sexist, even if it can SEEM that way because male hrotgar and female viera fit the gender roles, I highly doubt they were added because of sexism, and I myself really want male viera. Then, I don't personally see the need for new SCH fairies, and for the most part you won't really be focusing if they are male or female, so im not sure. I wouldn't mind having a male fairy, but I dont find it necessary

Not having male viera isn't sexist.

I think its a grey area. Contextually the design of both female viera and Male Hrothgar when juxtaposed give an unintentional sexist image. What i mean by this, is that it can be argued it is sexist even though it wasn't intended. It's a complicated situation with quite a bit of context to unravel. But essentially i think there is arguably grounds for either stance. This is due to the overly masculine overtures of the Hrothgar design and the overly feminine design of the female Viera - BUT this is only an issue because both are released as counterparts to the other and the images juxtaposed give an unfortunate impression.

Had the races been released at completely separate times, i.e two different expansions - whether full or single gender, i do not think the sexist argument would be as prominent or as strong as it currently is.
