Not everyone is going to be perfect right from the start.

Expecting everyone to look up and watch a video before every new fight is just not realistic. In most cases, you could type a quick explanation in less than a minute instead of basically saying "go watch this 7 minute video while we wait." What tends to happen when I try to type in a quick explanation is whatever tank is there that's in a hurry just pulls as soon as the barrier drops, then we wipe halfway through the fight and have to start over. That tank usually ends up complaining about people "wasting their time" because of it, or they just ragequit and take the penalty after one wipe. In the end, its faster to just wait that 30 seconds and let them know what the important mechs are. If they say they want it blind, then I'm all for it. After all, I've went into everything blind for the past 2 years myself. Am I going to continue going in blind when Shadowbringers comes out? Definitely. Its more fun that way.
theres no problem in going blind, specially when the content is new, what is the biggest problem to me is when i tell people to watch a guide and they take it into a ridiculously level of rudeness, im not being rude when i tell people to watch a guide, it is the logical thing to do when you dont want to learn by yourself and if you are just gonna come in and ask for help, why not waste a bit of time to watch a video? i dont get the logic, it is not something degrading that will put someones feeling to the dirt for doing so, i do understand that my motives are petty and i could just ignore and let someone talk to 30 secs- to 2 minutes to explain someone mechanics, i just find it absurd that its the most disrespectful thing to tell someone to watch a guide in this game

"Watch/Read a guide" is absolutely the correct answer if the duty is Extreme/Savage.

If it's not Extreme/Savage, however, something more like "It's not extreme/savage; you'll pick it up it as we go" would be better than effectively announcing you don't feel like explaining mechanics and being openly annoyed at them for not coming prepared.

I'm neither going to condemn nor encourage blind runs, because I try to not be judgmental about differing levels of casual play. However, I am constantly surprised (even though I shouldn't be) about how many people actually go into duties blind on their first clears. I understand it when you get a duty via a roulette in which you've forgotten every last mechanic. I also understand not watching videos, because they can take a long time to watch. However, you can still get a pretty good idea of what to do in a fight via a simple text guide.

Not necessarily. I have autism and ADHD, and am a kinaesthetic learner. For extreme/savage, I've tried using both text and video guides. They haven't helped an iota. In fact, I found I've done better going in blind than watching a guide. I'm an edge case I know, but that's just how things work for me (because the guides just cause me an "information overload"). Generally speaking though, I can pick up most things fairly quickly, however it requires me to break the fight down into smaller chunks.

As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.

i didnt know this was a thing, i also have autism but i have a better time understanding thing well organized and broken down instead of subtle social queus, so i have no friends, and people generally see me ass an asshole because i dont understand what they go through and their jokes, but when it comes to understanding the mechanics in the game i get those really quick even tho my muscles dont catch that quick when it comes to savage content

For Savage/Extreme, I know that seeing what the current strats are is important. Mainly because going these kinds of raids are meant to be talked about and shared amongst the community to come up with the best way to clear.

However, that's where that ends for me. I never once looked at a guide for any game, and I don't plan on starting. Frankly, people who look at guides either have no ability, motivation, or confidence, and that's okay. I play games to be challenged, to learn, and yeah to fail a lot until I find the best way. When someone tells me to look at a guide, I get the impression they are too lazy to tell me the main things to probably look out for (because not every mechanic is very clear in their presentation.) If that comes off as elitist... then I'm sorry, not sure what to say. I've never once needed or wanted to look at guides for a game unless there was some extreme circumstance, and I don't plan on starting it now. It's just completely against why I find games fun.

It makes it feel too much like they're trying to do the thinking for me. However, I like getting a nice, compiled list of some of the notorious abilities that a boss will use in order to avoid wipes, etc.

so you are saying you dont like a step by step of what the boss does, because its like someone is thinking for you? because thats what i like on a guide, everything that the boss does in other for me to know what to expect

There are guides that literally tell you how to conduct the entire run/fight, down to the smallest detail. I, personally, don't care for those kinds of guides. My main reason for going to guides for information is to know which mechanics can be problematic and how to pass said mechanics.

Take, for example, Sunken Temple of Qarn (normal). The doom mechanic is nice to know about in advance.
