Dyeable class gear?

If I remember correctly a month or so ago, I saw someone with their class gear, but it was a different color! I had time to look and it was something like “aquatinted” version. Where can I find this version of my gear? I’ve looked online, but can’t find anything. Maybe I’m looking for the wrong thing?

This the level 50 ones?

I can’t remember which level they’d had, either version would be nice. It’s not the second version you get though. I know you get a different color of the 50 ones at 60 I think.

If you augment the level 60-70 job gear, you can color it.

You can get dyable versions of each of the class sets. The level 50 ones you get in Mor dhona with crafted Armour Augmentation kits (should be on the market board retainer can get them)
The level 60 ones you upgrade in Idyllshire
The level 70 ones you have to upgrade in Anemos

In order to make the level 50 armor dyeable (the one you get from completing your jobquest) you'll need to complete the quest "Simply to Dye for".
Then you'll be able to exchange your artifact gear and a specific alchemist craft ("[artifact name] armor augmentation - this one for example for paladin: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...e/b27420ca352/ ) in Mor Dhona to get a dyeable version of the set. Note that this version cant be stored in the armoire any more. This only works for the stuff you get from the quests, as far as I recall there is no way to make the ilvl90-gear dyeable.

Make sure to gather mats for the items to craft, these things are usually really pricey on marketboard and will save you some money.
