I.e. The disc guard you see on katana's.

Which is still infinitely better than MNK's apparent iconic weapon:

Monks are based of courel. To me those are just a courel strike. Can see the claw monk weapons too.

I main smn and i hate the icon so much... be it a horn you should design it better

Many ffxiv goods is using the icon it me sad...

(And arcanist has such a nice icon

Gunblade and dancer however has such a nice icon...
