Breaking news, you can purchase an FC house off someone for ~15m. 15m is what people paid for small FC houses back in the days anyway so it's not like you're being ripped off considering it is the smart thing to do, unless you really don't care about wasting your free time.

Name a way someone can currently get a house on a populated server without waiting for up to 22 hours competing with random people for the entire duration, including that one that walks in and takes it because you had to go to the bathroom.

Is botting the right answer? Obviously not, it's against the TOS, but what is someone to do if they want a house and want to, say, get this really weird thing called sleep?

You have server travel now. It's only saying goodbye if you leave the data center. You wouldn't be losing anything.

The datacenter that I am on has almost all housing filled up all the time, at least if the Census forum has anything to go by.

It's the newest datacenter that has houses open.

Even though it seems to say selling for a high amount of gil is punishable offense. I know of people who have gotten banned for trying to sell homes at the original price. Keep searching. You will find it. It seems like half the devs "dont care" and "half do." I wouldn't risk it.

You can no longer flip houses unless you're selling to someone that doesn't understand the way the new timers work. The seller can in no way guarantee that the buyer will actually be able to purchase the plot the relinquish, since it won't be available for sale until a random timer finishes.

Even if you dont get banned. If theres a random timer on the demo.. \o/
