Timeline for the Far East?

Does anyone know if there's ever been a timeline given for the history in Othard, Hingashi, etc?

I'd love to have more information rather than less, but in particular I was curious about Hingashi's Age of Blood. Do we have any idea how long ago that was? I'm mostly wondering if it'd within any living person's lifetime, or something from 100+ years ago.

Lastly, and this isn't really that important, but has anyone found an NPC named Mister Miyagi? A friend and I were chatting about easter eggs after I found the Kobayashi Maru shipwreck under the Ruby Sea and it got me wondering how many pop culture references are tucked away in Stormblood.

I played through the SAM quests, which are the closest linked to Hingashi's Age of Blood, and don't recall ever being given a date as to when it occurred.

There are a lot of pop culture references (in general; it starts to feel like the game has little identity of its own as a result), but I don't recall a Mr. Miyagi (or Miyagi-san).

Yeah, the SAM quests are what got me wondering. I was hoping I'd missed something, either in the SAM quests or somewhere else, that if not giving an outright date, at least offered a vague idea of it being recent or ages ago.

Lore Book Vol. II goes into it a bit. However, dates are very much rounded and given in eras of centuries. What is known is that when the 6th Astral Era started (approximately 1,500 years ago), Hingashi was plunged into a succession crisis over who would be emperor for the next 300 years. After that, there was the Age of Blood for 600 years as the various clans fought each other over who would control Hingashi with the Mitsurugi Clan coming out on top. So that's... around 900 years of nothing but constant warfare.

The current age of relative peacefulness has been going on for approximately 600 years and for pretty much that entire time, Hingashi has been very isolationist. The only port really allowed contact with the outside world is Kugane. Hingashi has also been headed by the same clan for that entire time, even though the delegate a lot of power to other clans.

It's also become INCREDIBLY corrupt in that time. The "villain" in the storyline was a revolutionary who had quite a bit of popular support, and the main reason we oppose him is that if unopposed, his actions would destabilize the balance of power and trigger ANOTHER Age of Blood. We may have nipped that particular threat in the bud - but there's no indication that the nobles in power have learned a thing, or have any intention of mending their ways. Honestly, it's likely only a matter of time before the powder keg explodes...
