    Glamour Veteran Rewards?

    Hello,

I recently started playing FF14 again and absolutely loving it BTW!! I'm still leveling (59 Paladin) but I noticed that I had quite a few Veteran Rewards.. like a FF7 Cloud (Advent Attire) gear and a couple of others.

I don't fully understand how Glamours works yet but from what I gather the projected item has to be equal to or lower than the base item.

With that being said is there no way to glamour Advent Attire onto my current (or endgame, when I get to it) armor? Since it's a level 1!?

I hope I'm just missing or not understanding something. If anyone can explain I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you!

This will explain it better than I can.

Level 1 gear is designed to be glamoured onto anything.

The visible glamoured item needs to be lower or equal to the level of the gear you're actually wearing.

You can make your Lv50 armour look like a Lv1 shirt (eg. Cloud's shirt), but not like a Lv60 shirt.

The other big rule with glamours is that you need to be able to equip the visible glamour item. Again, things like Cloud's gear are "all classes" so everyone can equip them, but you wouldn't be able to make your tank armour look like a shirt that can only be equipped by healers.

Or if you made your generic Armour of Tanking look like your paladin 'job gear' that you received from the Lv50 quest, then equipped the same armour as a warrior, you'd see the original armour. It would only look like paladin armour when worn as a paladin.

(I recommend using the "glamour dresser" located at the inn room to set up some reusable costume plates for glamours you'll use frequently. You'll spend a lot less prisms and can re-apply it easily when you upgrade your gear.)
