    Eastlink and Tata Communications

    Thought i would chip in on this as i am having the same issue but have narrowed down the issue to a routing issue with Eastlink in western Canada that uses a server by Tata Communications.

    when connecting i get the 2002 error and i am unable to ping the NA servers. when using a VPN and rerouting my data through Toronto i can ping the servers without issue.

    data packets seems to stop after

    ix-ge-5-0-0.core3.vcw-vancouver.as6453.net [216.6.50.5]

    my friend who is in the same area as me is having the same issues and we both have eastlink. when he uses a VPN he can log in without issue aswell.

    while typing this i am on the phone with Eastlink to get the issue reported but trying to explain this to a level one support is a nightmare. hopefully Square-Enix support has better luck dealing with this packet routing issue affecting us.

    I can confirm i am with eastlink aswell with the issue.

    edit: even with a VPN i cant get access too NA server. curse you eastlink!

    Any idea how I can set up a VPN by using my Iphone as the middle man for my VPN that my PS4 can connect to?

    I'm also with eastlink and I can also confirm it is a real pain trying to help support help me

    Edit: talked to one of them again and the guy said he can't do anything on his end
