I think both sides have a point.

On one hand s ranks are easier to get than ever, as long as you're paying attention and coordinating. Aether has its dramas but I think mostly everyone does their best to cooperate and ensure people get there. Its not perfect, but...it's alright. Even though I've missed quite a few, i'm making it to 3x as many s ranks in a week.

On the flip side I've also missed a lot due to certain notorious hunters. Those who set out to "early pull" and cause hunt drama have a bigger platform than ever. There's only so many s ranks one can pull (that, coincidentally, they didn't help spawn) before it becomes obviously griefing, and I wish SE would step up and notice this behavior and make adjustments.

There's at least 1 Discord specific to Crystal and another that covers all DCs; gotta join those for now until SE can bring linkshells out of the dark ages and make them useful for hunting again.

Well sorry but you are not on our server and it has been the standard for us to wait after initially calling it in linkshells since hunts were introduced so yes there is such a thing when the majority waits.

Thing is, the majority is not the majority anymore. At least not in the way you're talking about. One server of people vs all the other servers in the data center is by no means a majority.

how about if you have wanderer status you can't engage hunts until someone from that server has pulled the hunt already?

Relaying to hunts to a public channel that literally everyone on the DC can see just leads to disorganization and frustration on the part of the majority who don't use the app.

It also promotes lazy "hunting" where people will just camp out in zones with open windows and wait until someone else spawns something so they can call it instantly.

You make it sound like there were no problems like this before world visit. People are level 80 with savage gear. They can spawn and solo S ranks and fire at will against even Stormblood A ranks unless there's particularly annoying mechanics like getting eaten or the one Yanxia one that spins. Lazy people will be lazy. I look out for S rank call outs and hurryhurryhurry to get my credit and go right back to idling and looking at discord.

Does more than just ruin hunts. Also makes it where have to queue to login to your server. Because it's filled up with ones from other servers. Before world visit could login instantly now have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to login to my world. They just need to add a database world wide market board and quit letting one's visit other servers.

I think at this point the thing I'd like most is for the hunt scholars to note whether or not a S rank is available to spawn because the public spawn notifications make accidental spawns much more prone to getting picked off by randoms who won't mark the time of death anywhere, which tends to lead to it getting picked off again as then nobody has any idea when it'll actually show up next.
