Error 2002 on login

Is everyone here with eastlink? If so it might be the ISP for all of us instead of any personal router problems or square itself.

Definitely Eastlink. I connected to my phone using it as a hotspot and logged in just fine.

I am with Eastlink. I contacted them about this yesterday and they aren't being very helpful. They say since it's not happening on their network they won't do anything. All they need to do is change their routing on the last hop in Vancouver.
If anyone does a tracert on the ip 204.2.229.10 (Primal Server) I have found that my route ends in Vancouver and then starts dropping packets. Specifically on the "ix-ge-5-0-0.core3.vcw-vancouver.as6453.net [216.6.50.5]" server.
The more people that bring this up with their ISP the better chance we have of getting this fixed. Otherwise we are stuck waiting for the vancouver core server to maybe fix itself.

Yeah, it seems that whatever server Eastlink is using to route the game's IP in Western Canada, it's taking a nose dive in Vancouver, so we essentially need to do what Nero3x suggested and have everyone contact Eastlink about this and try to get them to either reroute the IP or contact whoever owns the server and fix whatever's wrong with it. Until then, our only other option is to use a VPN if we want to access the NA servers.

I contacted Eastlink via phone yesterday and let them know exactly what is going on. They said they would look into it and as of this morning I can get in without my VPN! So hopefully this is resolved for everyone else as well.

So i tested pinging the FF servers with CMD
NA Data Center 184.107.107.176

Sorry, but where did you get the 184 address from? That's not Aether, for that use 204.2.229.9 (neolobby02.ffxiv.com)
