I bought a new laptop a couple weeks ago to replace my ~4 year old aging Alienware one, and since then I've had some pretty steep FPS drops in all areas of the game, even while idle in Shirogane. It won't just drop but it will actually look as if it's paused for maybe half a second, which severely disrupts anything I could be doing. I never had this before, so because that's relevant I'll also mention some of my old specs:

Old:
Nvidia Geforce GTX 860M
Intel i7-4910MQ
Windows 7 Professional
Usually getting about 40-50 FPS under normal circumstances

New:
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050
Intel i7-8750HQ
Windows 10 Home
Usually getting about 70-90 FPS under normal circumstances

I've been monitoring my systems performance with MSI Afterburner, and it seems that whenever my FPS hangs there's also a huge drop in the frame buffering. I changed some of the game settings by 'optimizing' them in Geforce Experience and it lowered my FPS to around 50-60, and I experienced significantly less drops, but they were still present.

I've updated my drivers, Windows, made sure nothing else was running in the background, made sure it wasn't overheating, etc. but the problem still persists, and is only lessened by a lower average framerate.
