    Return of the 90002 errors- just when you thought we were done

    Right, so unfortunately the very day the thread was closed the issue has reared its ugly head again.

    All troubleshooting tips advised in the linked thread are in place, yet the errors return. I've had two tonight so far.

    Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Additional troubleshooting step implemented per google searching:

    Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn
    open FFXIV.cfg with notepad
    find
    <Network Settings>
    set UPnP to 0
    So far this has given me one night of error free play. Will see if it continues.

    Hello, Dynratygus!

    These errors come completely at random at any point in time. I could be doing a duty, running a trial, clearing mobs for a treasure map, or simply standing around at my FC's house.

    All troubleshooting steps mentioned in the previous thread have been implemented as well as this additional step modifying the .cfg file.

    I had thought the errors had stopped, but it has returned for the past three days.

    I just wanted to chime in and say that I've also been suffering similar random disconnects. They became, and still continue to be, a random but reoccurring issue for me ever since the initial May 22 DDoS Attack on the NA Data Centers. I made a thread about it here yesterday afternoon. I just wanted you to know that your two previous threads on the matter were very helpful in my troubleshooting efforts (even though they've been unsuccessful so far), as well as that you are not alone in this frustrating struggle. If you do happen to find a working solution in the near future, I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward it to me as well. Thanks, and good luck!

    There happening to me inside dungeons. Most time does disconnect me just freezes from 10 to 30 seconds then maybe in one minute time they happen again. makes running any duty impossible right now. shows my ping is 5.

    Happened in record time to me today. About three minutes after logging on I'm running through the Aftcastle in Limsa and bam. 90k error.

    There's absolutely no pattern to it.

    Same here, after waiting some 20 minutes for the queue to pop I just got 90k2-ed and cannot log back in and finish the run I was in due to the 2002 error - cannot connect to data center. For the past few days, the game has almost become unplayable.

    Based on the trace routes you provided in the previous thread, it looks like you are running into a routing issue along your way to the server. It's difficult to tell exactly why this is happening, but if the suggested troubleshooting didn't solve the issue, you may want to contact your ISP regarding the issue.
