I come from playing FFXI and loving it back in the day when it was worth playing, when it was very hard to get anywhere, learning each beasts weakness/strengths, and remembering what they are, where they are. part of the excitement is "forgetting", and having to re adventure and re-learn. I believe despite the good intentions game developers these days have for puttin this type of thing in games, it does destroy the need to learn, and adventure. It also kills "could be" Adventures you never knew you would of had.

I know most players these days like to have things as easy and simple as they can in games, but I also hold Square Enix games above others for the reason that they dont make everything clear cut and simple, they make you learn it the hard way, and remember, instead of taking the lazy way out.
