Please don't get rid of Goobue Skin/hide!

It reminds me of the day I slayed a Goobue! Not by myself obviously! Also .. why not use it for something, we have the mount already! We must use it!

They're not getting rid of anything. Some items are simply becoming obsolete - which won't matter if you only want to hold onto them for nostalgia purposes.

At the bottom of the dev1242 post, it states the following -- which led me to think that some items will be completely removed, including from our inventory. Or am I interpreting this wrongly?

These items will be permanently removed from the game.

Fortunately for the OP, Goobbue skins are listed under this other category of items, so I assume they will remain in our inventory if we choose to keep them:

While not currently in use, there is a possibility that these items will find use again in the future due to considerations such as name availability and consistency with lore. At this point in time, however, we cannot guarantee whether and when they will return.

They're getting rid of it so people don't resort to skinning their own Goobbues for gil/synthing.
