    Restoration of the Holy See of Ishgard{Suggestions}

    One of the cool features that most people are waiting for, and this by no means is in reference to housing in the least, the Restoration of the Holy See of Ishgard plan they have going on similar to how the Doman restoration was done. The difference between the two is that the Doman restoration didn't involve crafting at all as the Ishgard restoration is expected to be crafting centric. Now anything I say will of course be my opinion so feel free to provide your own feedback and opinions as you see fit but keep it civil please. ^^ Mostly just want to throw out the suggestions I was thining of.

    Firstly, I know it was mentioned right after they mentioned End-game crafting features, but I really hope that isn't tied to this and this can be used as a means to get our crafting jobs from 70-80 but also be a means for things end-game for when we reach it. It would be a good means to get crafting leveled much easier then in the past. While providing things to benefit those that make it to the end with venders and what not that sell end-game crafting mats/housing or even gear for level 80 jobs.

    As far as how the move would be done, as it could be different from the Doman restoration project, maybe they do the crafting restoration done similar to how they did the Custom deliveries. They would ask for specific materials, crafted items, etc. for each quest as we level up. Much like how they did the Namazu, class quests and custom deliveries, there would be a specific tab within the craft menu that holds all the crafts.

    Now for the big suggestion. Housing. Most people are wishing it would be instanced, as do I, but not entirely sure they will do that. But if they did housing for this, here is my suggestion/idea. Hold off until like patch 5.35-5.46(just throwing out random patch numbers) or somthing along that lines. The Ishgard restoration project, much like the Doman rstoration project has a means to be able to add more ad more quests as the patches hit to continue the restoration project. Now the idea is that Yoshi P waits to see what people actually do and see if crafters/gatherers are actually completing the restoration project. Keeping an eye on the completed quests and what not or howevere they keep track of this, and once they finally reach a certain point and he sees the drive and determination, he could implement a new quest. One that can't be accepted unless a certain quest in the restoration project is completed, and that quest giver directs the players to a new section that was opened up early in the restoration and being worked on while the player was doing their thing. This new region would be the housing region, all prepped and ready for the player to call home as a reward for their efforts in the restoration of Ishgar.

    Now as mentioned, this is opiniated suggestions that I had and feel that would be feasible for this new feature. Can't wait for Shadowbringers to hurry and get here. ^^

    I hope they reward both hardcore crafters and casual crafters separately, and accordingly. For the entire 4.0 expansion, crafting (in my opinion) was made too easy, there was virtually no challenge whatsoever. For newcomers, it’s always challenging. But for veteran or experienced players, nothing new has really happened.

    So, I hope, for example, during the Ishgard endgame content, players that want to contribute will be given moderate difficulty recipes they must HQ. These items should be untradeable. And will be rewarded with things like glam or materia (or scrips).

    Players who are more hardcore and want a challenge, should be given “Savage” difficulty crafting recipes. Must be HQ, non tradeable. After weeks of grinding these difficult recipes, (because I assume it’ll be capped) these hardcore crafters should have enough rewards to purchase superior crafting gear/tools. Gear and tools that make it much easier to HQ gear recipes.

    2.0 - 3.0 rewarded casual and hardcore crafters perfectly. 4.0 did not, it rewarded them basically the same.

    Ehh. The only metric people seem to be using to describe 'hardcore" crafting is reliance on lots of rng on top of rng on top of rng. As someone who has been a 'hardcore' crafter since Everquest, thats not hardcore. Its been the single worst aspect of crafting for 20+ years. Its like saying "oh, you killed the boss, thats cool, it dropped a 1 ac statless cloth cap instead of anything on its loot table, because you're not hardcore enough to get the actual loot".

    14 is your standard themepark MMO as far as its systems go.
