Since update to preferred worlds...

Hey guys,

So since there was an update and now there was a change to the NA preferred worlds. I was wondering from the worlds below if anybody had any any input of which world might be best bet to snatch a house but at the same time have a decently populated community. Nothing crazy.

　○ Malboro*

Last update on the housing census thread showed quite a few on Goblin & Malboro. Might pop a character up on one of those and check out the housing districts then world visit some of the others if need be.

For Aether at least, Adamantoise is the smallest of the 3 on that list. Really friendly, fun folks there too! Of the remaining two, I don't know much about Midgardsormr, but Siren seems to have a bustling RP scene if you're in to that, but don't want to be on Crystal for whatever reason.

Now that you mention it what is the whoe difference between Aether, primal and crystal player base or server wise.

Famfrit has a good population, but our housing has been pretty limited since December. There are usually 5 to 10 houses available at any given time.

I rolled on the Goblin server for sheer sake of curiosity. There are plots (At least in Ul'dah, I didn't level high enough to check other places) but there wasn't such a large amount that it was amazing over.

Maybe 1-2 houses on every other ward, at best. All smalls.

What do you consider an empty world considering most group content is handled through Duty Finder and Party Finder, which are both cross world? Every world has its share of FCs to join and cross world trains have been pretty active on Crystal if the hunt is one of the things you enjoy.

Aether - mainly raiding, a little RP thrown in, most well known streamers are here
Primal - a little raiding, a little RP, not really focused on anything specific
Crystal - mainly RP, not sure how the raiding scene will turn out yet

All three data centers are located in the same place (probably even the same floor of the same building), so there shouldn't really be a big difference in performance or lag. I'm not sure of the current population data (I'm sure the free transfers made any previous data null and void), so I'm not sure if one would be better than the other for data center population. Most preferred worlds are on the small side. (I still can't believe that Hyperion is now a preferred world. How far we've fallen.) When I get home later, I can try to look at all the NA preferred worlds and see what's available where.

We have cross world hunts that are pretty active for Primal as well. Not sure if Aether has that going on too, but it seems likely since the other 2 DC have it.

Based on current Party Finder, very little.

Crystal is more active than Primal, Aether is slightly more active than Crystal.

We expect Aether to always be a little more popular, but Crystal has been picking up people who moved to Aether, said "this isnt much better and I'll never have a house", and bolted for a smaller server.

Crystal also has very strong cross-server activity. It wont have as much of the top-end raid scene, but itll have a raid scene.
